*urp* Baked cookies all day yesterday in our annual tradition of baking cookies to hand out to friends/neighbors/co-workers. I think it was 12 different types this year. This year we even had a new assistant - my niece (The oldest one)! Who was also good at distracting my other niece (the youngest one) so we could get stuff done :)

Now there is all those cookies to eat.... man, I really need to hit the gym. *sigh*

I tried that myself this year (I tend to suffer from Seasonal Domestic Disorder but thankfully, it's almost over now) but I discovered that D's oven is extremely unpredictable so cookies set on the same timer would either come out underdone or burned, depending on how long I'd been baking.

Nothing says frustration like making 12 dozen cookies and having only one dozen come out just right...

hell, I totally understand THAT! My mom's old oven would do that. We had to watch constantly and pull out cookies, and ones on the bottom row tended to get overdone no matter how closely watched they were.

She's since gotten a new oven - *whew*

I wish I lived closer. Nothing beats home baked cookies. And your baked goods usually rock so I am doublely bummed.
