Today was an early morning. I really wanted to get into the Hawaii Five-O panel, and they had been promoting that they were giving away a t-shirt all day Thur. So I knew it would be popular. I made it to the con by 8am and got a pretty good spot in line. I was soon joined by [livejournal.com profile] lordgloria and her sister unit! Whee! Panel buddies again!!

The two actors they had at the panel were Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park! Both so great to see. Grace was funny in that she was 'oh yea, taking another roll played by a guy in a remake. Next I'm going to play...' And I totally forget what two shows she joked about that she would play a roll originally done by a man. I should have wrote it down. Grace got a lot of questions re: BSG and Daniel got a lot focused on Lost. They have barely started filming on Hawaii Five-O, so didn't have much info. The producers did say it would showcase Hawaii much like the original and have the issues true to the times. They showed a few clips that have been filmed. I'm looking forward to checking it out. But then, they had me at 'buddy cop show'. Yea...I'm easy.

I ran over to get my 'I got lei'd at Comic Con' T-shirt then back to check out the line to get into the other big panel room for Big Bang Theory and Bones. Found some new panel buds in line (thank goodness since they had a decent spot). However, the room was full and the line not moving very much. We DID get in for Bones, and that's what I really wanted, so it all worked out.

The Bones panel was a lot of fun. Just the two main leads and the showrunner. A lot of joking around.

After that, down to the dealers room to shop and look for swag. I swung by the BBC America booth because I remembered that the Being Human signing was on Friday, but I had forgotten at what time. I hadn't scored a ticket (if they gave them out), but I thought I'd try. I got to the booth to find out that there was one person left in line and that the stars were still there chatting! So, I begged the line person that I was getting for a big fan and she would really love a signature. Since the stars were having a good time the talent wrangler let me in. I was the last person. So, I wasn't pushed along – which means I talked to the three of them for like 5 minutes – telling them that they had a big fan in Alaska who loved the show and I even got a picture! So, [livejournal.com profile] friendshipper Happy birthday!

After the dealers room closed, several of us ran out to get some quick dinner (pizza) and then back to the con for the Syfy friday night shows. They were going to show the new Eureka and Haven. I wanted to see the Eureka, but didn't want to stay too late, since it had been a long day already, so we left before Haven started. I got home at midnight.... ugh. Which is why I didn't post earlier! :)

So, Friday was spent in a lot of lines and two panels and time in the dealers room. I managed to score the biggest, most sought after piece of swag too… the Star Trek Watch from the CBS booth! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The Swag count: 1 Star Trek Watch (blue), 1 book, 1 swag bag, 3 t-shirts, 2 comics, 1 magazine, handful of buttons, wristband, red-hots tin, handful of postcards/bookmarks, several chapter books, 5 lanyards w/sharpies

mecha-looking suit thing. It opened up in the chest area and people could take pictures from a ramp behind it. pretty cool.

awwwww thank you so much! ^____^ That's so cool! (And omg, they're so cute! *bounces and squees!*)

I really appreciate it. ♥ ♥

And I'm glad you're having fun! It's so weird to have Comicon with no SGA ...

Yea, this is the 1st time I've met them in person. They were all very sweet and just wanted to talk, which is why I think the handler let me in - they were not quite ready to go yet. And being last, I had lots of time to chat with them. They were super happy to hear how much you loved the show and that I was a super pal for getting an autograph. I've seen the show, but not all of them, and not fanish, but enough to chat with them about it. I think I ended up babbling....

What a super-sweet shot for your friend - and a GREAT shot of the cast, yay yay! I had no idea they'd be there.

That's an awesome shot of the cast of Being Human. I love the show too, but your friend in Alaska is probably a bigger fan than I am. That was nice of you to do that, Annette.
