Bad Car Karma
22 March 2006 09:22:::Blah::: Why is it always when one is exhausted, tired and just plain worn out and want dinner and bed after a long day at work when one's car decides that THAT is the day to knock out? Not only that, but after waiting for over two hours, freezing because I had too thin a coat, the WRONG size monster tow-truck shows up?
It just wasn't my night, that's for sure. Nothing like trying to extract a car from a parking garage that makes it seem like a challenge.
It gave me a few warnings it wanted service, too bad I didn't catch on quick enough. One never knows whether that strange noise the car makes is a sound that's 'valid' or one that gets your mechanic to roll their eyes at you. I tell my mechanic about all sort of sounds. Mostly it's the eye roll. This time, wouldn't you know it, he went, oh yea, that was your starter going. :::sigh:::
So, now I'm trying again today to convince AAA that I need a SMALL tow-truck to extract my car. And no, it does not need a jump. Honest. The battery is fine.
