Here be MORE Pirates!
12 July 2006 13:07Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest was a lot of fun. Not better than the 1st as I heard, but definitely a fun summer flick. And definitely worth a second viewing - which I'm doing tonight, just to be sure I didn't miss anything.
My requirements for fun summer flicks:
- Action
- Nice screen candy to look at
- lots of fights/shootouts/etc
- cool special effects
- no downer endings
- fantasy or sci-fi setting gets a plus
Of course, watching a movie that has its original basis in a ride has one wanting to take the ride again :) Heh. I guess I'm lucky Disneyland is so close. I'll have to do that in a few months. Not worth it trying to go in the summer, it's too crowded, and hours wait for one ride is just insane. It's much nicer when the lines are shorter. Then, the park hours are shorter. Ah well.
They also say that Disneyland has finally updated the Pirates ride here in CA to include Jack. I guess they did Orlando first. Is the ride the same in Orlando? Has anyone done both to compare?
