Look - a shaker!
19 February 2008 15:06Or, for those not in CA - an earthquake! I can always tell when the building gives a wobble that's NOT from a truck going by. There's just a different feel - and the fact the the plants usually shake in the other direction.
This one was a short 'roller', ie, just a mild feeling like you are in the sea on a wave, that one minute you're up, the next it's past you.
First thing I did, since it was a mild one here, was wondering what/where/degree. So, online I go. Turns out it was a 5.0 in Calexico (just over the border in Mexico). I love the USGS :)
