That's the ONLY way to explain the last week.
And Thank God for AAA! My car decided to not start when I stopped for the evening - on the way home from being out - grocery run. Came out with cold stuff (but no ice-cream luckily) at 11:15pm to find out, geeee... I wasn't going anywhere! ARGH!!! No warning! Now, my car does eat batteries, like every 15 to 18 months, 20 if I'm lucky, time for a new one, but I ALWAYS know it's coming - my car will do the 'must I?' slow winding start, you know the slow grind then catch and you're good. I'll get that "warning" for like 3/4 days, and then - battery death.
This was, out of the blue, I'm not even going to give you clicky/clicky noises battery death! I had to wait about 30 min for AAA, but they came promptly and on time, yay! He got it started fast, we chatted for a few minutes, I get in the car, turn on the lights, ... die. Yea. Again, I was lucky the AAA driver was doing his paperwork and hadn't started up to go, so I didn't have to chase him down the parking lot at the grocery store at midnight. He was like, yea, that's dead alright. *sigh* He jumped it again, kept the battery jumper on past me turning on lights and putting in gear, then I was off. I made it home, but the lights went through some 'brown out' phases, so yea, that battery is TOAST. It's not holding any charge, at all.
So, tomorrow morning, it's call AAA again for a jump to get it going to get to my mechanic.
And that's not all!!!
- my home computer started giving me a 'low battery' warning when I turned it one. I found out I had to replace the 'watch type' cell battery on the mother board. After instructions, I managed that one.
- my kitties electric water fountain died. (they are now moping) No idea what happened there, was cleaning it, brought it back up to plug it in, it like started for a brief second, then nothing.
- my cell phone decided, when calling AAA, that it was going to go from, 'I'm cool' 2 bars to 'charge me now woman!' 1 bar. My cell is good on full charge for like 4/5 days on 24 hours, but seems that once it hits 2 bars, that's it, I need to charge right away. I was worried that the AAA driver was going to call (like the said he would for additional directions) and I'd have no cell phone power. This is like a curse. This is the 2nd time I've had to use AAA, and the 2nd time my cell decided it wasn't going to play nice. And yea, it was my car battery last time too, which decided to die at work in the parking garage. Wasn't THAT a thrill! hmmm... last time was suddenish too. I think my car is getting sneaky!
*eyes laptop worriedly* This is like the curse of anything electronic!
