Creation Farscape LA 2009

I'm back and the cats are so glad to see me that they are both trying to get into my lap and very annoyed at this laptop from preventing them. So instead they are curled as close to and on me as they can be.

I had a good time in LA with the Stargate Con, and even saw a few actors on the Farscape stage as well. God, I think I need to re-watch Farscape.. it's been soooo long (10 years!?!), and I couldn't even remember some of the stuff asked as questions anymore!

One bit I DID miss was Gigi, Wayne and Lani on stage together. I've seen them all before, but their time fell during a busy day and I really needed something to eat. I got pics of Ben & Claudia, but I'll post them with the Stargate pics :)

Following are pics of David Franklin and Virginia Hey. I don't remember much of the questions for Franklin.

Virginia, of course, got asked a lot about the makeup and trials of cutting her long, beautiful hair (cringe!). I'd heard all that before. What I HADN'T heard: she got asked that continual 'tell us about pranks on the set' question, and had a really good one! She said they were all jokers and constant stuff going on. The Audience really had to beg for this one, she said she really couldn't tell 'anyone under 40!'. Ha. Anyway, they (I forget all who, but at least Dargo, Zhaan, John & Aeryn and I think more) standing in a line with their backs to the camera, 'watching' a ship that was coming in (to be added via cgi). They were stuck there, and couldn't move, so Anthony (Dargo), started talking about what he was going to 'do' to the ladies (if there were ladies) on the ship... in EXTREME detail. With butter. Virginia said it was horribly kinky, and they couldn't move, couldn't laugh, couldn't leave, so they had to stand there silently, laughing inside, and listen to this. She said to this day, she has a hard time eating butter! The audience was rolling on the ground as she was trying to tell this tale, all without saying anything too descriptive. She didn't remember what episode, and joked that she just knew we'd all be doing freeze frames trying to spot their shoulders shaking for weeks :)

Stargate LA 2009 - Fri

Day one – Friday

Started off in the afternoon. I'd gotten up to LA Thur evening to relax and catch up with my roomie margec01. Two actors today for the Stargate Convention – Ryan Robbins & Cliff Simon.

I hadn't realized that Ryan Robbins was also Henry on Sanctuary. D'oh! So, he spent most of his talk answering questions about Sanctuary. His filming is finished there for the moment and he's out working on two other projects in the meantime. Sounds like he's very busy.

Cliff Simon is working on a 'sci-fi western' that he showed a trailer for. Something in early development that him and the writers/producers hope to do. It looked more like a steampunk sort of thing. Interesting trailer. Cliff enjoyed his time playing Ba'al and talked about his early up bringing and athlete training that he had. I never knew he almost went to the Olympics!
