Rachel Luttrell was on the final day. I've been to several cons where she was speaking and she's always sweet and nice. During the photo op she was 'good to see you again!' to me. Even if our shirts clashed horribly - her purple checked to my blue floral!

The soft tones of her voice and the way she talks - all is very reminiscent of Teyla.

She started off telling us of her adventures in moving from Vancouver to LA and that she was working on a CD (which people have been asking her about for a while now) and in planning for a series she hopes to do with Connor Trinneer.

First question was could she sing something. She laughed and said 'and I have something prepared this time'. She has such a lovely singing voice.

Other questions were on how her son took her to being in makeup (didn't faze him at all), jokes played on the set (she finally got the chair name panel back from Jason), that she stayed in touch with her former castmates and enjoyed hanging out with them, that she had dancer training and a lot of hard work to learn all the stick fighting and of some of the accidents that had happened.

One thing I hadn't known, that she was on "probation" for the first 10 episodes because someone 'higher up in the network' wanted a pet person in the role and were waiting for her to make a mistake. She had the crew and rest of the actors on her side though and made the character her own.

She had only talked a little while when her son wanted on stage and in her lap, where he sat extremely quietly as she answered questions. She laughed 'This is Caden. You wouldn't expect me to have a blonde hair, blue eyed child!' She talked that he'd been on a number of sets with her husband and knew how to act on them.

I got a lot of good pictures of Rachel because she sat pretty still and didn't move around a lot. Here's a sampling of them.

Christopher Heyerdahl was on Saturday as well. Todd the Wraith, as well as being on Sanctuary, Supernatural and Twilight! He's getting quite the work as a villain. And he LOVES doing it. I chatted with him some at the desert party later that night, and he just enjoys the challenge of a conflicted dark character much more than being a 'hero'.

He's a really nice, kind of quiet guy with an interesting vocal range. People, of course, asked him to do the wraith voice - and let me tell you - it's not all special effects!

Chris talked about how long makeup was to do on both SGA and Sanctuary. That he really, really wanted the John Druitt part on Sanctuary but thought for sure it was going to 'some good looking young guy from LA'. Currently he's working on Sanctuary till November - they just started filming fairly recently and have a long way to go, as this season is longer. He talked a little about how hard it was to scramble each year to get financing, but that he loves working on the show.

He talked some about the SGA VEGAS episode and how the lighting effect added to the creepyness of what he was doing with Alt!Todd.

He was asked about how safe he felt filming the torture scene in Supernatural and he talked about some of the precautions then went through. He said that really, it was three days of filming and he never felt uneasy. He also joked that Alistair's safe word was "more". LOL!
