Goodbye Anne
22 November 2011 23:38Anne McCaffrey died today and the world loses an amazing author and inspiring person. I loved the Pern books when I was a kid and still love them today, as well as a large number of Anne's other published books.
I even had the chance to meet her -TWICE- in 2006. Once here in San Diego at a signing for our local bookstore with her son Todd. I hauled as many books over to be signed as I could get my hands on hardcovers (most of mine are paperback) and also talked my friend![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
aries_jordan into standing in line with me with books (limited to 3 a person). Then met up with my sis in LA for Worldcon and went through the signing line again. She was at the local signing because she was in town for the Worldcon and her son is local to our area.
