Finally got to unbox my poor Tony. Yes, all you anxious bunnies, I would have done it at work if it was feasible, but it's like layers of boxes, padding, stuff, etc to dig through, so he had to wait till I was somewhere I could! And an anxious afternoon it was too!

My Tony has a nice darkish face up. Not quite as dark as a few, but definitely not light, so I'm happy. Love those nice long legs. I can't wait to see how his height is next to my other dolls.

His one tiny problem.. he has a broken finger! ARGH! First doll I've gotten that's had something broken. And, in a move that proves he was definatley meant for me - the strange coincidence of WHICH finger was broken..... left hand - ring finger.

hmm....... Very strange.

No, I'm NOT going to call him Frodo!! I only hope I can get him a new hand soon - or the poor boy might end up with that name! :)

Mr. Frodo

Call Volks! They usually have replacement parts. They should be able to fix that for you. If not, you can always buy another set of hands at the store. :/

Their telephone number is on the store site. www.volksusa.com

Poor Tony! Fayne says to check and see if Volks has any hooks. Chicks dig guys with hooks for hands! (And pirates are IN these days.)

(Fayne can be a dangerous crazy person. Comes with being only half elf, I'm guessing...)

According to one of the ladies that works at Volks this is the part where you will have to blame UPS. They have no concept of what the word "Fragile" means (even in bright red caps!) With the way they handle packaging and what not a lot of their dolls arrive with broken fingers. Which then Volks has to file a lot of insurance claims too! X___X;

Man, you were NOT kidding! I'm having to send pictures, give a testamony, etc. Soon I'm going to have to swear 'I know how to treat dolls! I have dolls! I didn't do it!'. Thanks for the warning though, I started off with 'blame UPS' right off. Probably saved me a step or two.

Forewarned! The UPS customer service over the phone can be very rude just so you'll know! Tom (my fiancee) had problems just talking to them and it was just so hard to get a freaking straight answer out of them.

My heart goes out to you and I hope everything works out ok. *Hugs!*

Well I am so sorry to hear that Tony arrived with a broken finger. :( You definitely have my sympathies . . . what a hassle. I really hope you get it resolved with BOTH Volks and UPS. If you get a rude customer service rep hang up until you get a nice one . . . they can't all be rude. Sometimes the fault can be both Volks and UPS's fault.

Please share pictures of him soon. *hugs*
