Where did June go?

Wow, June disappeared. Really. I hadn't meant to be silent so long, I just was .... busy? Hell, I don't remember WHAT I was doing, or why. But I think I was just reading LJ a lot (oohhhh... stories!), and just not commenting.

Got my car back. She runs great. I even picked up a new 'guardian' crystal in Sedona because obviously, my car really needs it.

Went on a 9 day camping trip through Arizona. Boy, I'd forgotten what HOT felt like!! But it was fun. Nice to see Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon again. Even if it felt like I melted at the Grand Canyon. We were there on the 4th of July, and it was like being in your own sauna. No kidding. Also, I like this style of camping - with trailers. Much nicer than the old 'haul your stuff on your back and sleep on the ground'. I think I'm getting past that point. I like lots of stuff, not having to haul it, and a nice place to sleep :) I took some pictures, that I still need to go through.

However, I think July is not a good time to visit the Grand Canyon. Not only was it very hot, but the canyon was very muted and dull. Not as pretty as when I went in fall, when it was cloudy and rainy. It was a lot more brilliant then (and the air was clear).

The bridge is further west - close to the NV/AZ border. So, no, we just did the South Rim standard visitor's center area.

I don't know if I told you, but i'm definitely not going to make it to Comic Con. Just can't afford it.

The very IDEA of the Grand Canyon in July makes me want to melt
