Well, Darn!

I was going to hit Borders this morning on the way to work to get my wristband for my Harry Potter book tonight. Uhm.. Yea. Got there, the store had just opened, and the line was AROUND the building. :::sigh::: I looked at the line of at least 50 people, looked at my watch and had to go to work. Darn it! So, I'm going to try again at lunch. I'm not going to get a good number, I can tell.

This does not bode well for Comic Con (me and lines).

There is a autograph signing for Stargate actors on Friday late afternoon of con. They are giving out 'tickets' for a lottery starting at 9am on Friday morning for the autograph line. I'm thinking it's going to be very difficult to manage to get a ticket. :::sigh:::

Why do you have to get a wristband? Didn't they order a ton o'copies? I was just at my local place and checked that I can get the book after midnight and they said no problem. Well, expect for get there early cause they might have to close the doors if they get too many folks for the fire marshal to be happy. Hopefully it won't be to insane!

9am in the autograph area I'm assuming (under the sails). They had an 'info' booth last year. I'm sure they will have this year. I plan to check out on Thur.

Because of the number of people. The color (or number as some places are doing) is your 'place' in line. Those who have 'orange' for my store are the 1st to get to buy. They rest of us have to wait our turn. Yes, they have a TON of copies. I think they said 7,000 or so. But, this is so there are no fights I guess, or people lining up for days, etc.

So if they have me working on a union voucher next week during comic con, then I will either be able to attend some of the days or not at all. Depending on production's tenative shooting schedule. X3
