Stargate Burbank Con 2008

I took so many pics with my new camera!!!! And I had a great seat! :) *dances* The camera did well, though I still need to work with it some more, as I had a number of blurry pics that I had to delete. But with 700+ pics, I had some nice ones too!! Yay!

I didn't take any notes and I'll need to sit down and work on some sort of a con report.... it won't be much - I was pretty busy taking pictures.





Kavan Smith doing his impression of Flanigan doing his hair :) It was pretty funny story, but I only got one some what blurry pic.








It was amazing that Jason was there after that bar fight. He had to wear the dark glasses the entire time and didn't really want to talk about it much. It was his left eye, and I have a pic that's a tighter focus that I'm not sure I want to post from that side.














I only got this one - and it's blurry-ish. I was focused tight in, and couldn't adjust the camera quickly enough when they stood up together.

Thank you for these! David looks cute with the buzz cut! I never see enough of Rachel and its cool to see her without the makeup.

Oh, Jason. I'm still angered over what happened and I'm just in awe of him coming to the con and being a trooper. He looks amazing and Honestly don't want to see pics of him up-close...I'd feel odd and am glad you did not post those.

But the one of them all togther..big happy.

So, awesome to hear that David asked Joe to work with him on a project and that the Flan was going to have dinner with Rachel from other reports.

Jason was at a bar the week before and some guy picked a fight with him and hit him in the face (eye area) with a glass bottle, which shattered. He needed 140 stitches, said they were at first worried he'd lose the eye. He said his eyes were all bloodshot and messed up and wore dark glasses the whole time. It was amazing he was even there. Someone asked if they should stop taking flash pictures and he said no, he was okay, and that's why he was wearing the dark glasses.

Loves camera to death!!!! :) I'll send you a CD. There are a lot of very nice ones. I've even got a few that are a little blurry, but don't want to delete because they have great facial expressions! :) Figured you'd enjoy those for drawing and what not.

Glad you enjoyed! :) David's joke was he went in for a "Daniel Craig" and came out with a 'Forrest Gump'. ha!

I didn't intend to take a close up of Jason, most of mine were more pulled back, but I was on the left side of the room, so when he turned, I got more then I realized. Hard to tell with a small screen. It was a amazing he was there, and he was a really good sport about everything.

Yea, I wish I had gotten more of them together, but with three people moving, a greater number of those ended up blurry. *sigh* Digitals are nice, but slow to focus!

I'm sooooooo happy with the pics - and I got the most amazing seat (on the isle)! So, I could lean out just a little and not have lots and lots of heads in the way :) David was just .... *guh* so amazing and brilliant. And yea, I was glad Jason was there.

Oh, and a funny thing about Rachel (who I've got a number of really nice pics of), I saw her 3 times during the day - the breakfast, the photo op, and on stage - and EACH TIME she was wearing something different!!!!!!!!! For the breakfast it was a cute little baby-doll type dress floral print, then this tight black formal dress with buckles for the pictures, then jeans and tank top! I actually joked with her about it at the pics and she just shrugged and said 'oh, you know'. Ha! She's pretty sweet.

Your pictures are SO great! That first one of David is FANTASTIC! He's looking right at you. (Or the middle of the audience where you were anyway.)

And to show just how slow I am, I never realized Rachel wore three different outfits at the con. Well, I didn't see her at the photo op. But. Really, I was looking at her face and the beautiful butterfly decoration in her hair. It's such a shame that they don't use her real hair in the show.

Thanks for the pics. I found a backwards way to downsize them, so I can upload them more easily. (g) Part one about Kavan is up! Probably more tomorrow.

a Canon powershot SX10 IS with a 20x zoom. I really love that zoom!! :) I wanted a point and shoot. I'm afraid all the Digital EOS's out there are too much manual focus/f-stop stuff for me.
