Okay, Preview night - or the excuse to wander the dealers room for a few hours before the con 'starts'. And it's really, really crowded. That's because no other distractions or panels, so everyone is basically in the dealers room. And I really wish that the con staff would not plan all the 'movie' studios in one area. It's like a huge fan crush roadblock. They really need to spread them out.
I didn't take any pictures - no costumes and it was just too crowded. There were some cool 'statues' and such, and I want to get a closer look at some of the cases displaying upcoming figures and all that.
Syfy isn't in the dealers room.... I hear they are out near Horton Plaza? Huh. Wonder what's going on there..... MGM DOES have a Stargate set - basically the SG1 gate from years past, a lot of open space and several video monitors playing SGU clips. I will attempt pictures tomorrow.
And my feet are already hurting. That's what I get for dressing up in a skirt with sandals. *sigh*
The not so good news - pre-reg for next year for 4 days..... $100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO kidding! OMFG! It was $65 last year :( Con is over the same days July 22-25.
