Or Lines, lines and more lines!! ARGH! This year, they make you WORK for those freebies! You want a freebie? Go get in line. And wait. Then, next place - same thing. No just handing stuff out as people go by or anything like that. Oh, postcards - yea, they hand those out. But anything cool - like buttons or bags or TRIBBLES! LINES!
I spent 2 hours in line at Paramount to attempt to get a tribble. I succeeded finally on the 2nd try. I am now the proud owner of a white tribble - who has a tag that says "Join the community - Go where no tribble has gone before. Take a picture of yourself with your tribble in a fun, interesting or unusual setting and upload it..." hmm... I don't think Comic Con counts.
Paramount, however, did have a captain's chair and a bunch of Orion girls. So picture time!

I took some photos - mainly of booths. Saw a few costumes, but the crowds were such that trying to get pictures - ugh.
I did two panels - both on fantasy/books, and didn't have too much trouble getting into the rooms - though I squeeked into the 2nd panel, but then, I was a little late trying to get in. I did very little of the dealers room - basically trying to get a HP bag at WB (Hahahahah!) and checking out the booksellers row for freebie books or buttons and Paramount for a tribble... so lots of walking from one end to the other. I got three books, 1 tribble, a some buttons, a Watchman WB bag, a handful of postcards and bookmarks and a few posters. I bought 5 books and had them signed and a autograph by Robert Picardo and chatted to him a little about what he's currently doing (shooting a few small movie parts - one horror one fantasy)

batchix :)

MGM's bare-bones Stargate Universe 'booth'. So far, still only posters given out, with drawings for DVD give-aways every hour.

Syfy's Restaurant "Cafe Diem" which we found. Huh. This seems to be their 'base' now. I wonder why they decided to leave the dealers room? Because all this - can't have been cheap, so I don't think they are saving anything.

Pictures on the walls - the tables decorated with various Syfy shows, cutouts, the menu, etc. Here's the SGU Gate. Our table was actually the GHI castle - which was cool with me, but I took a picture of the gate table, since it was a cool on a round table.

Ugh... I need to be in bed. It's LATE and tomorrow is a loooonnnngggg day.....
