Sunday was an EARLY day. Two early panels that we just knew was going to crowded. With driving time and then catching the trolley, I needed to plan like a hour for travel time. So I left home around 7am ish. Got to the convention center a few minutes after 8am to a light crowd outside and headed up to get in the room line.
spiderling had made the line about 20 minutes before me, so had a decent spot. It was a very, very long line, which we expected, but it was the 3rd largest room, and we had a good spot in line, so we'd get in no problem. I wasn't one of those who were wanting the 'first row' or anything like that. The line was outside, but under a tent, so just waiting. When they finally let in, we got pretty decent seats.
The rest of our group was in line for the Dr. Who panel, with David Tennant - who I later hear was extremely nice eye candy. I was bummed to be missing it, but could not do both panels. *sigh*
I haven't watched Smallville, so I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the questions - just taking pictures of Tom Welling β who was here for his 1st con appearance. What really struck me was the huge difference in questions between the Smallville and Supernatural panels. Hardly any people left after Smallville was over, so most where there for both β and yet βthe questions asked for Smallville β silly, 'I love you' types and aimless questions romance, spinoffs, hotness of actors, more romance.
Whoo Baby! Tom Welling is YUMMY! Yes, I took a lot of pictures of him, and spent time drooling. Let's just say, I had a lot of company in that.

....dang stupid water pitcher! Why did the actors I most want to take pictures of sit right behind it for every panel!!?!?! :(
The Supernatural panel was next. The two 'boys' Jared & Jensen didn't make it his year. Kripke came up and said 'the boys send their love', got disappointed moans and added 'they send their SHIRTLESS love'. Yea, they know their fan base. Anyway, they were busy filming, so we had Misha and Jim. When asked questions, both were very hesitant to answer without first glancing over at Kripke. Jim's comment was 'you know, Lucifer is two seats down'.
Like I commented above - a whole lot of super intelligent questions were asked. I'm not sure what is a spoiler and what's not, so I'm not going to say much here. I think WB will probably put the panel online for viewing - and if you don't mind a few small spoilers, it's a great panel to watch. Since there's a SPN con in a month, you'll hear probably much the same there. Besides the two actors and Kripke, two writers - who were also here last year.
Kripke did say that S4 was all about tearing the boys apart and S5 is all about family and being together. And all about the Apocalypse. Yea. He mentioned that he never expected to 'finish' or do his 5 year plan, and that yea, Apocalypse was always for the final bit. So while things have been added/adjusted as they went on, the overall arc is still the same as he originally thought of it. They are concentrating on S5, and early on, so he doesn't know if there will be story plans for a S6, and that will come up later.
Oh, and they showed '5 minutes' of the season opener. NOT the 1st five minutes. Just 5 minutes. EVIL! Kripke is EVIL!! ARGH!
Anyone wanting to know more details (that I remember) of the panel, feel free to PM me :)

After this was over I rushed to the dollmeet with some friends. Then down to the dealers room for some last minute shopping!! Picked up a few more freebie books - all teen angst this time *sigh* oh well, I know a teen I can pass them onto. I scored at Paramount, who had fast moving lines and lots of goodies to get through before the con ended. Bought a few more graphic novels and a comic or two. I looked at a lot of art, but didn't buy any. Oh - There are new SG cards - Stargate Heroes coming out end of the year/early next? Has both SG1 and SGA. The preview card I picked up was Teyla. I grabbed several, so let me know if you'd like one.
Then Comic con was OVER! *SOB* As usual, they had to almost kick me out. I tried to get a picture of the crowds leaving, but I wasn't at a good angle. Gotta load the card from the other camera. So, joined the crowd for the trolley and headed out to
hotmarscube for a post con collapse and BBQ. Hey -
hotmarscube is one hell of a cook! :) Yum - burgers! Talked and relaxed until late, then home and turned into a pumpkin. Then spent all day Monday reading a book I got at the con and now I'm soooooo far behind on Flist!
