Ugh. Not only did I have to get up early (for me) for a dentist appointment today, but found out my long time (20 YEARS!) hygienist, had retired and I had 'the new girl'. Ugh. Not thrilled. And to top it off, she didn't listen to me. She wanted to do the 'pokey' test (I hate that), and I said to do it first. No, she first spent 30 minutes scraping and poking my gums, THEN, gee... I had a lot of bleeding when they did the test after wards. *sigh* No 'Duh! My guns still feel a little 'off' and tender :( I miss my gentle hygienist, something fierce.

Then, they discovered a cavity. Ugh. At the gum line too. And since my co-worker is at a seminar today, I couldn't stay to get it taken care of, but hustle to work. So that means I have to come back! ARGH!

At least the upper crown problem tooth is still holding on.

I then get a call that Delta is changing (again) our flights this weekend to Orlando. *groan* I called and complained at them sticking me farther back in the plane and they put me in the exit row for the two flights that I ended up too far back.

Argbh. The very inability of being able to stop running long enough to do such routine maintenance chores is why I haven't been to the dentist in several years and why I took a pair of bandage scissors to my own bangs last month.

It was either that or let the dog groomer at the kennel trim them. :-)

heh - that's why it's handy my other sister is a hair stylist :) I can show up at her place on the weekend or late at night and she'll do it.

Re: dentists. You know, I got my families weak teeth. The 1st time I was 'dragged' willingly to a dentist - I was in college and I had a mouth FULL of cavities. You see, we were broke when I was growing up, they didn't 'hurt' (like my sister or dad), and that's why I thought you HAD to go to a dentist, so I never did. This dentist basically told me to shape up and fix all these or I've have dentures by the time I was 30.

So, I was turned into a little good dentist person. Even when I wasn't going to a family doctor for years, I was in the dentist every 6 months.

You sound like my friend. She also hasn't been in years, but then she's had what, one cavity her entire life? And that was because it was under braces when she was young. *sigh* To have teeth like that!

I have those teeth (the one cavity kind). You get them by being a tetracycline baby. As in the docs give you tetracycline before your adult teeth come in. They didn't know it then, but it causes the enamel of your teeth to get superstrong. Unfortunately, it causes it to be gray too. :-(

Ugh. I hate the pokey test! Bummer about the cavity and hope you get a chance to take care of it soon (and not too early this time!)
