And a nice slow lazy morning. I was looking forward to a day spent off my feet! The Volks Doll Party didn't start till 1pm, so walked around in the area to find a small breakfast place, watched a little TV, then headed over to get in line at noon. Already pretty long - but when the doors opened at 1pm - we were actually about the middle, which was a fine place to be.

We got a table in the middle of the room and spent a lot of time taking pictures. Food and company and all was great. A lot of hard work in decorating - and tons of prizes (though we didn't win anything). I had a fun time.

For those that are my SGA friends, I collect Asian Ball Jointed Dolls - a lot of them I like with elf-ears. There's a few of mine that don't have elf ears - including these, because of how packing and traveling (they have to be carry-on), I was pretty limited in who I could bring.

After that was over, it was still light out and we had a little energy, so

hotmarscube and I headed down to check out the Battery Park area. But we didn't have much energy, and the sun was going down, so we were not there long, just enough to take a few pictures.

Battery Park. Different in look - more wild looking with undergrowth and flowers and all. Not just grass and trees. Though there were sections with just grass, but I liked these that had really pretty flowers.
