I'm tempted to buy the new DVD edition of Dune for the 'extended cut'. Blah. And how many times has one heard that before? But Kyle MacLachlan makes one HOT Paul Atreides, that's for sure! And I did like the movie edition. They showed an extended or something on Sci-fi channel years later, that was longer. I wonder if that's what this is?

No, I saw the extended version of Dune like 10 years ago. I'm a huge Dune fan and read the first four books. I taped the extended version off Sci fi or some cable channel YEARS ago. They might have a new directors cut, but I know EXACTLY the old version of the extended version had Patrick Stewart in it. Maybe the newer one has more stuff.
