Oh NZ how I miss you so!

Here's a video about the start of filming in NZ for the hobbit, with some walking about the sets, seeing the actors doing some blocking, seeing the workshops going full tilt, the practice and the LOTR Music!!

The crowd at the top of the picture above the sign is at what remains of the 'outer' set of Bag End (in 2003) and the cut off group on the very top of the hill is at the site of the tree stump that's above Bag End.

Yep! Three weeks touring the film sites with 100 other crazy fans in 2 busses and partying for 2 days in NZ with the release of ROTK - parade, concert, poetry reading, art exhibits and parties. It was a wild and crazy time. and I took ohhh.. a LOT of pictures with 2 cameras. Including us acting out some of the film scenes. LOL.

This was awesome! Thanks for posting the video. I loved the LOTR movies, and I can't wait for The Hobbit now (although it sounds like I'll have to be patient for a couple of years at least, lol). So cool that you got to visit NZ! I would love to go there some day!! :D

NZ is so pretty!! I really enjoyed my time there. The countryside is very wild and beautiful and unspoiled.
