Movie: Priest

After being a little nervous on this ones marketing as a 'horror', I had to ask someone first before going, even though I was curious.

Actually, this was pretty much a straight action/adventure with a supernatural element. Nothing to much more than you'd see in any episode of the Supernatural TV show (if they had the budget for CGI Vampires that is!) Which is what I was hoping for.

I really liked the movie - but then I LOVE character angst (whoo boy - angst, angst, angst!) and cool action/fights. Also throw in the Distopic/apocalyptic society and going against the 'overlords' trope (the Church in this case), and I'm happy. I enjoyed the fights, loved the stoic/angsty main character and found the story simple but satisfying.

A good solid 'B' movie.

Not my kind of flick, but while I have you here, it occurred to me today that I should ask you: Why Remnants? What is it about that episode that makes you want an episode tag? You know, when I finally get around to writing it for you... *facepalm*

It came up in conversation elsewhere and it made me realize I'd been meaning to ask you that for a while now...

Because it seemed like that episode was really short-changed in having tags and I felt it really needed one. And I so loved all the ANGST John was put through... and just no comfort follow up! He sooooooo needed a hug and a Rodney in his bed! And I guess I wanted Rodney to find out what had happened - and realize what John meant to him and realize how much John was hurting and not showing it.

Okay, all good, strong reasons and where I was heading with a possible story in my head, so yay.

Only I can't make any promises when you'll see it though. :-( Sorry to be such a whelcher.
