31 July 2009 00:10I picked up a number of little 'preview' booklets for upcoming books. One - "Geektastic, Stories from the Nerd Herd" included a Geektastic lists of 'Things to Bring to Help Survive Comic Con'.
Here's Holly's list - which is the list that amused me (and is true!)
- Bottle of ibuprofen. Not the little bottle, either.
- Coffee. Because buying it inside the building will mean fighting other caffeine-deprived attendees. Some of them will have shurikens.
- A Sharpie. You just never know when you might need one.
- A Buddy. With whom you can rehearse what you are going to say when you meet celebrity heros ... which you will forget when you actually wind up standing behind hero on coffee line. In this case, buddy can also resuscitate you.
- Large bag or knapsack. To hold all your spoils.
- Steel-toed shoes. Forget comfort! You have to hold your ground!
