There be Pirates Here!

With a great show of will, I managed not to stop at a theater last night for a midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest... though it was a VERY close thing :)I'm very much looking forward to it, and will see it tonight with some friends.

Our local reviewer nicknamed Elliott the Idiot disliked it. No surprise really. It's not in a foreign language and depressing. ::sigh:: Yes, you can see which movies he likes. Everything else is summer trash. He hates big action flicks, animated flicks and sci-fi/fantasy. Pretty much what =I= like to see.

If this link works... here was an interesting review I read online. (beware before clicking - it DOES give away some details, but I'm a spoiler queen)

Some review on TV up here gave it a good review. He liked it better than the first one, he said--so it passed the sequel-test.

I think everyone's going to go anyway, no matter what the reviews are like! ^__^

Several web reviewers I've read have been disappointed with it--but like April said, I'm gonna go regardless! XD

Even our reviewer Elliott admitted Depp's Jack was watch-worthy, even if he disliked the movie. He almost was grousing that 'Jack' was in it too much.... hhmmm na!
