Bummer. I totally understand. I had that problem last year. Just came back from a 3 week in England jaunt less than two weeks before the con..... so I didn't take Thur/Fri off. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did my boss bitch about my mind 'not being there', I missed a whole lot of panels I was really interested in. So this time, even though my vacation was not that long ago, I still took the days. And not a single word from the boss. I just said, it's my birthday time, and it's con, and he's been quiet.
See if you can escape early. The dealers room is open till 7pm, and of course, lots of night activities! I'm looking forward to the big sci-fi friday showings in the big room :) And the LOTR concert on Thur too!
