There goes the power

And my first brown-out. At least we think that's what it was. Power went off suddenly and was out about 20 seconds, then came back on. What's the point of making it so short? At least I didn't lose too much info I was working on, though my co-worker did.

Everything came back on fine... EXCEPT for the air conditioner. I think it didn't like that sudden downtime. The whole buildings air conditioners are out. I can see it is going to be a loooonnnnggg afternoon.

Drat. If the power had stayed off, we might have gotten to go home!

EDIT: It went out again. Definitely a brownout. Our landlord is next door, and says this building has auxiliary power, which is why somethings are running and not others. Whole buildings around us (like the movie theater) are totally out. bleah. Just keep it all off I say. I don't want to be in here sweating!! Oh well. Better keep saving every 5 minutes as the power comes and goes. And why doesn't the movie theater have auxiliary? You'd think that would be important!

I understand your pain and frustration. We've had brown outs before and they are a real drag. And sorry for the horrible triple digit temperatures in CA. They are NORMAL temps for us here in Texas in summer, so our energy companies are use to the demand.

Hey, I grew up in the pit of the desert in AZ. I HATE, hate, hate triple digits. I moved OUT of AZ to get away from it! Why is it following me!! WAAAAAAAA!
