winter_elfHey, it went and got cold! After a busy two weekends in a row, this last weekend was all about sleeping in and being lazy and going to movies :) heh.
1st weekend of Sept me and a bunch of others headed out to the mountains for meteor shower watching. It was to be at 4am, so this time we went all out and camped. Last time we did this years ago, it was earlier in the evening (midnight?) and we drove back into the city at like 2am with the ENTIRE REST OF THE CITY. OMG, what a traffic jam! But then, that time, like this time, all the astronomers where saying 'it's going to be big'. Yea right. We've done this at least twice, and both times they've been wrong. Okay, it was pretty, and I saw a few meteor's (6 or so) and this time, 3 satellites moving across the sky.. but it sure wasn't some huge event like they expected. And again, a full moon. What's it with full moon's and meteor showers anyway? And it was HOT, HOT, HOT! all weekend, over 100. Liveable at night, but needing fans. Yea, big three day weekend, and my only plans was for a meteor shower. Very sad.

hotmarscube's b-day and he wanted to spend it camping in San Juan Capistrano. Okay. If only I wasn't on the rag. Oh yea, that makes camping sooooooo much better. Not. One big advantage over camping now vs. camping years ago - pop-up trailers!! Beds! Standing Room! Wow. No more crawling into tents and sleeping on the ground! I'm getting to old for that anyway. Groan.
So, this last weekend - sleeping in, being lazy, not cleaning. Hmm.. yea, that about sums it up. Oh, and being bad and reading LOTS of slash on the internet. ::sheepish look::
Tomorrow - Season 3 SGA DVD's are out! WHEEE!
