My BJD doll convertee's increases to 2.5!

At the Volks tea-party, I put in for several of the One-offs, mainly on a lark, because honestly, I haven't won anything like that before. And well, they were all so pretty, I wanted to be in on the fun and excitement. I was started when they called my name let me tell you! The one I actually won (the F-19 sunlight), was one I put in for my best friend. I've been trying to get her to get a BJD for a while, but she didn't really like the pale skin tones (she called normal skin pale!). She DID like the sunlight skins, and when I surfed, she'd point out - who's that doll (always a one-of a kind, or a limited, or something). She really liked Tom's David, and said she'd go for something like that. Since David is a FCS from Sato, I figured that had as much chance as a snowball in hell.

So, the F-19 at the tea-party was the same head as David, he had a beautiful dark skin tone, light, beautiful eyes, and one amazing face up, not to mention a drop dead costume.

After I won, I spent two days in anxiety. Did I just buy myself an expensive doll, or would my friend really like him? She doesn't have any dolls, so, of course, she did not head up to LA with me.

Nervously, I took him over to her last night. Success! She likes him! Whew! I've now converted two others fully, and one with Mercy. (Though I could technically claim Ailene fully, as =I= was the one who helped to buy the doll).

Well COOL!! I am glad to hear that your generous efforts paid off and that you successfully converted your friend to the world of BJDs. *winks* *chuckles* And what a way to come in with a very hard to get one off. Well you are the BEST in my book too!! Ohhh, and I emailed you with an update!! ^___~
