Year of the Earth RAT

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

It's the year of the Rat. And boy, a lot of my family are rats. One of my sisters, my two (unborn) nieces, and I think a nephew is as well.

Now I just need to track down which element everyone is.

I'm a fire horse - which by the way, doesn't get along well with rats. ::sigh::

The funny thing - one site I was checking out said I was a Water (black) horse born in the year of the Fire (Red) horse. heh. Horses all the way!

BTW - [livejournal.com profile] psyche7772 you are a Water Rat. Your muchkin will be an Earth Rat

I'm an Earth Dog, but Anal-man and the Sister-Unit are Metal Rats. :)

How do you figure the elements?

I know I'm a rooster... Oh, just Googled it... Fire Rooster.

Never heard of the elements from anyone in my family (and any ancestors I'm aware of), but then, we don't pay attention to stuff like that (superstitions or old beliefs...). We know our birth year animal--but it's just for fun. (My immediate family are all dogs! My nephew is a tiger.)

Happy Year of the Rat from the Water Tiger, Wood Dragon, and Metal Snake family!

Martins a Tiger (forgot which element) and is that good that I'm a Water and my kid will be an Earth rat? Might be why I like living close to water, big bodies of water and sailing. Not that being Cancer has anything to do with that;)

Interesting, this is the first I have heard of elements attached to Chinese Zodiac signs. Well I’m a Water Tiger (gee, that makes all kinds of sense), and I will be living in a house of Rats…um...somehow this seems like it should be a problem :-P
