I can hardly wait!!

Seems like from the snips I've heard posted in various places that MGM is going to be making a big presence there this year:

Reason #1 : Richard Dean Anderson to appear. The rumor that he might appear at ComicCon in July is true, however. He will be a guest of MGM, and he expects to be at ComicCon for the preview of Continuum, which will be held aboard the USS Midway, and for a party being hosted by the Navy. Further details had not yet been set. Hmmm.. wonder how I'll score tickets?

Reason #2 : Stargate Worlds Occupying Comic-Con. Stargate Worlds has announced they'll be at the premier fan event of the season! Comic-Con!The superpowers behind the game and the Stargate series will set up at booth #3535 and a base camp outside the San Diego Convention Center where fans can have their picture taken with a full-sized Stargate.

A Full-Sized Stargate???!!???!!!???!! OMG! Yes, MGM has had a 'Stargate' in a prior year, on the dealers room floor - uhm... 5/6 years ago? They had a small booth, and a booth sized Stargate (I have pics of it), and an actor dressed up like a Jaffa who you could take pics with (which I did).

But a Full-Sized one outside??

Yes, I'm all but shaking in anticipation here.

Every year I tell myself I should try to make it to Comicon the following year. And then, other things come up. This year it's Shore Leave to hopefully see David H. in a smaller venue. (g)

But every year it seems that Comicon is better and better for Stargate fans. Multiple panels, seeing the stars, other fun stuff going on. I hope you have a GREAT time!

I like Vertigo and DC the most, and Tim Drake is my favorite character.

DC sure didn't have much in the way of giveaways at all :(

I got you a button that basically says 'Vertigo'. I also picked up a number of posters if you are interested:

--Mortal Combat VS. DC Universe (Batman fighting a mortal combat character. Batman is more featured in a lunging pose).

--Vertigo Encyclopedia (pic of books,floor,library with the words)

--20 Years of Sandman (folded), Large poster with lots of characters in various art styles at like a party. I think it was used for signing throughout the area, as it was ava. all con.

--Batman and Wonderwoman - Cartoon network ads for upcoming animated shows

Other various posters picked up: Ironman, Heroes Villans, 12/12/08 - the day the earth stood still, Max Payne Movie, Star Trek Black (villian), Star Trek Red (Uhura).

Wow sounds cool. Too bad you don't have a SG1 costume. You could be the comander of SG/SGA the slash team!
Kidding, it sounds like a ton of fun and I envy the chance to see RDA in person and on a Navy ship no less. Way cool.

Oh and if there is anything you want me to watch out for in the way of doll stuff at dollectabe let me know.
