The last day, and I had an early panel. So, up at 6:30am, at the con at 8:20am to get in and find the line I wanted was basically wrapped around 4x's. Ugh. Thank god I got in when I did! When the line finally started moving, I was about the middle, because it wrapped all over the place! Since the room was empty, and it was the 3rd largest, I was sure I was going to get in for my panel - Supernatural - which was the 2nd one in that room at 11:15am, but I wasn't going to try and make it in later, so that meant sitting through Smallville.

Yes, lots and lots of lines and more lines this year. But, really, they've finally figured out how to RUN the lines, and have all the line people doing it the same way - let in the same way, let out the same way, have lines taped on the floor - it was very orderly, and after the mess of a few years ago, I think it went smoothly.

The Supernatural panel was great - Both stars were there plus Kripke and two of the writers. Lots of teasing the audience, lots of questions they would not answer about what was coming up. He called this season upcoming would be 'darker'. They showed the bloopers from the Season 3 DVD's, and to be an evil, evil, evil tease - the FIRST FIVE MINUTES of the first episode - which will be on 9/18/2008. ARGH! Enjoyed, and the stupid questions were shut down pretty quickly. I'll do another post on that, so those who want to be spoiled can be, though I'm slow, I'm sure you've already read it somewhere.

After the panel was over, I headed down to the dealers room, but couldn't get anywhere near WB booth to even SEE the signing :( Pooh. Yea, they did the line for the signing at the same time the panel was going on, so it was one or the other. Checked out the book isle, went to get something to eat, up to the art show to pick up my art, bought memberships for my sister, niece (who'll be 12, so needs a membership next year) and nephew, then back down to the dealers room picking up some last minute deals.

I basically shopped till the last possible moment, then got kicked out. Another year over. ::sigh:: But I did better this year, spent less and saw what I wanted too. I might not have done every row - but that's okay, that would have caused me to spend more!

Met up with two friends and headed off for the trolley and dinner before making it home around 9pm and falling asleep. I had meant to do my reports, but ah well.

This year, the trolley was doing a fantastic job too! No problems, they expanded the red line (direct) service, no switching around to different lines which I've had to do in past years, they ran later hours - no getting stuck at Old Town and having to walk to my car at the next station up at 1:00am on Sat! Yay! Let me tell you, a whole lot better than trying to deal with con traffic! The draw back is having to carry everything all day. My feet and back ache that's for sure.

Here's the Stargate Atlantis panel at Comic Con to watch online since I suck at taking notes.

Only big things I remember:

Everyone liked The Shrine so far as their favorite episode of Season 5. Picardo says we find out something surprising about Woolsey, but he says he wouldn't not tell us.

And Jewel, when asked about Season 5 says something along the lines of 'I wish I would make up my mind...and I finally do'.

EARTHQUAKE!!! 11:42am

Yikes,

and a big one too! It rolled and shook here pretty good - not hard enough to make stuff fall, but more than hard enough that getting to ones feet was stumbling - and long too. Where ever that was centered was close and/or big!!

goes to search.....

Ha, I was right, both close and fairly good sized. 5.8 at Chino (LA area)

And I was talking with a client on the phone, trying to keep an even voice as my office is rolling and she's talking normally, so I think she was in a solid area that wasn't getting the same reaction.
