Leaving on a Jet Plane

fly away, fly away, fly away! I'm OUT from San Diego and heading for Toronto. Yay! Time to get some of my many weeks of vacation time in. Of course, this is the week my cat got sick and needs medication when I'm gone. So, I had to frantically panic about that and plead with neighbors and mom to do it. blah, nothing is easy.

So, I'm off to Toronto to see the Lord of the Rings Musical. How it will be I have no idea, but I talked my sister into going, so we'll both find out. Those on my LJ who didn't know I was a total geek for LOTR.. now you know.

The Great Invisable cat was fine (Eowyn's nickname by my mom - who was like - are you sure you have a 2nd cat?). Kethry had a bladder infection. And I'm glad it was Kethry, since she could be given medication. My mom never saw Eowyn the whole time I was gone.

Poor Kethry! Bet she and Eowyn are glad you're home!!

Sadly, our kitty Winky passed away while you were gone. Either she got ahold of something toxic to her or suffered internal injuries from a fall. She was such a sweetie -- we miss her horribly.

oh no! The lost out-door kitty you guys were looking for? bummer! Well.... at least you know what happened I guess instead of never finding her, but tragic all around.

Yeah, Glen found her under the house a week or so later. She must have crawled under there to recover or die, as cats do.

Blackjack (her brother) misses her, but he's sticking close. They both were, having adjusted to the move immediately. Winkie and Blackjack were/are more attached to the family than the house. It's a shame. She was starting to be accustom to coming into the house and spending the evening. We wanted to make her an in-door only kitty.

Blackjack will come in, but he won't stay long.
