I'm not a huge fan, and have only caught a few episodes of the current series... but castles, ruins, history! I've been more interested in the idea of the international one - because..... CASTLES! :) yea, shallow.

Anyway, caught most of the 1st episode - they were doing Northern England/Scotland. I've never been to Chillingham Castle, but looks like a more modernish castle/home sort.

But, the second place was Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh - and I've BEEN there!!!!!! I did the tour in the Close in 2005 during my 'Return to England' tour with a number of friends. So, it was really, really cool that they were wandering around down there and I'd been there! I wasn't too happy with what/how they did the investigation though. Only stayed one night - didn't use enough equipment I think - as the episode after with Ghost Hunters in the US had tons more equipment and cameras. Okay, I know, gotta travel, but come on! They came up with it not being that haunted - though they did get one thing they couldn't explain. I don't know, it was spooky to me!

Actually it sounds fairly interesting to me what they sumise about hauntings, . . . although I think just the travel part to castles and ruins in Merry Ole England and Scotland is what really draws me. ^_______^

as long as they show the castles and running around, they got me watching :)

Cool! Did you feel anything funny/strange when walking through it? or get a strange feeling? :) St. Andrews = jealous. Been to Scotland twice - and still haven't been up that way.

Well, you know that part of the tour where they try to freak you out talking about the "spirit" of the young girl?

Really randomly right then after the tour guide was all "some people experience their cameras not working in this part of the Close" my camera made a major weird malfunction and I got what I jokingly call my "ghost photo".

Those ghost shows KILL me. Most of them couldn't find a ghost it it sat on their head and craped on them. :(

Oh... my company has a BUNCH of SG-1/Atlantis toys coming out of Battlestar Gallactica stuff. I keep meaning to email you but I work 11-12 hours a day and I want to die when I come home. ::cries::

All that stuff wasn't tour-able when I was at Edinburgh University for a year, way, WAY back when... When I went back there several years ago the tour was closed because the city was renovating the Close, taking it back from Meerkat Tours and running their own tours!

I did get to do the "Underground Vaults" and the "Greyfriars/Covenanters Prison/Bloody MacKenzie" tours, though.

As usual, ghosts and very active poltergeists totally disappear whenever I'm around (SO, so insensitive of me!). But the ghost tours were fun!

I didn't catch the Ghost Hunters episode featuring the Close! I saw some of their other shows on England and Ireland, though... It's weird with them since they actually DO seem to get experiences and evidence but it still takes a LOT more before they'll say a place is haunted.
