winter_elfI'm not a huge fan, and have only caught a few episodes of the current series... but castles, ruins, history! I've been more interested in the idea of the international one - because..... CASTLES! :) yea, shallow.
Anyway, caught most of the 1st episode - they were doing Northern England/Scotland. I've never been to Chillingham Castle, but looks like a more modernish castle/home sort.
But, the second place was Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh - and I've BEEN there!!!!!! I did the tour in the Close in 2005 during my 'Return to England' tour with a number of friends. So, it was really, really cool that they were wandering around down there and I'd been there! I wasn't too happy with what/how they did the investigation though. Only stayed one night - didn't use enough equipment I think - as the episode after with Ghost Hunters in the US had tons more equipment and cameras. Okay, I know, gotta travel, but come on! They came up with it not being that haunted - though they did get one thing they couldn't explain. I don't know, it was spooky to me!

Date: 11 Jan 2008 06:44 (UTC)Really randomly right then after the tour guide was all "some people experience their cameras not working in this part of the Close" my camera made a major weird malfunction and I got what I jokingly call my "ghost photo".
